Andrew Kenneth Gay is an independent filmmaker with two award-winning shorts under his belt and a feature film currently in post-production. He has also worked professionally as a production coordinator, production manager, line producer, and assistant director on commercials, industrials, reality television, feature-length motion pictures, music videos, webisodes, and motion picture shorts, and has worked with such companies as VH1, Red Bull, Spike TV, the Discovery Channel, Nike, Bealls, Dick's Sporting Goods, and the Disney Channel.
In addition to his production work, Andrew has taught or lectured on topics including film production, screenwriting, and script analysis at the University of Central Florida, Southeastern University, Flagler College, and the New York Film Academy. He has also consulted on and/or created the budgets and schedules for half a dozen independent feature films.
Andrew has produced dozens of successful, festival-screened, independent shorts, including three he also wrote and directed: "Naked," "Love is Deaf," and "Melissa with a Heart Around It." Together these three films have received eight awards and official selections at more than 40 film festivals around the globe. He recently completed production on his first feature film, A BEAUTIFUL BELLY, which is expected to be released in 2010.
